Nebraska Crossing Outlets Grand Opening

by Craig Wasserman16. December 2013 09:19

Last month marked the grand opening of ka’s latest retail outlet project, Nebraska Crossing Outlets in Gretna, Neb. The $112 million, 350,000 square foot outlet center was developed by OTB Destination LLC.

Situated 20 miles southwest of the city of Omaha at the convergence of I-80, Highway 6 and Highway 31, Nebraska Crossing Outlets features more than 70 tenants. A dynamic center courtyard, combined with more intimate public spaces, create a rich variety of experiences that create a retail destination, inviting visitors to linger, dine and shop. The design evokes a modern interpretation of rural Nebraskan architecture, connecting the outlet center to its context.

The outlet center is designed to optimize walking distances for shoppers, concentrating the large collection of retailers into a compact environment. ka provided Planning and Design Architect services, collaborating with Avant Architects of Omaha as the Executive Architect.

KA congratulates David H. Bader on his semi-retirement

by Craig Wasserman12. December 2013 06:00

With more than 41 total years of experience in his career and after 24 years of service at KA Architecture, we are sad to announce that David H. Bader has stepped down from his position on the Board of Directors and as the Director of Landscape Architecture for his semi-retirement.

David joined Keeva J. Kekst Architects in 1989 as the head of the firm’s “First Look Department.”  With a focus on initial site planning and building area studies, David became an invaluable part of the development process for KA’s clients. Within a matter of days or even hours, David’s group could provide valuable information to the client regarding the ability to develop a potential parcel of land, before they had to secure it. David later became a shareholder of the company and in 1991, David was selected to serve on the Board of Directors, a position he held until his retirement. David spent his career imparting his knowledge and wisdom to the KA staff. David will continue his working relationship with KA as a consultant to the firm.

Congratulations David from the staff at KA Architecture!
