The Orchard Town Center | Site & Land Planning, Executive Architect

Developed as a regional center in north Denver, the 165 acre site features a one million square foot retail center, a mixed-use residential/office district and a residential village consisting of 500 units.

The project’s design draws inspiration from area’s the surrounding prairies, incorporating an arts and crafts styling in both its buildings and landscape.

The retail component of the project is comprised of two primary components: a power center on the site’s periphery and a pedestrian retail district within.

As the executive architect for the retail shops, KA developed the contract documents and provided construction administration for sixteen buildings, containing approximately 300,000 square feet. AMC Theater, Macy's and JCPenney are the project’s anchors.

The Orchard Town Center was built in two phases. Openings began in the fall of the first year and the project completed in April of the third year.
